This set of instructions is for the Sierra Wireless Modem, which we have found to be top notch in many of our sites. We have experienced multiple brands, and this is the one that we have chosen.

You have to provide your cell carrier with an IMEI for your modem so they can set it to a certain SIM Card.

With this model the SIM is placed in the SIM 1 location, which would be the top of the modem.

When wiring you should connect the modem in the left rails of the M400 or on the power board of an R100. (photos coming soon)

Your Red and White cable with be the positive +, your black will be the negative -, and the green we typically tape back or cut off.

If you see 3 places to screw in an antenna you want to look for Cellular and Diversity. If your antenna only has one cable, then you would only screw into Cellular.

Locate the large card that comes with your modem, it will have instructions and tell you of the IP to set it up. For instance, this one is https://192.168.13.31:9443

You will either need a USB A to Micro USB cable to gain access to the modem. Plug it in, then type in the IP address.

The Chrome browser does not always work correctly. You may have to use a different browser.

Once everything is plugged in you may see green lights flashing from left to right like a piano, this means it is updating and it could take up to 5 minutes. Give it time, it will update.

When you try to open the page, if you get an error, go to ADVANCED and PROCEED to the site.

You will see that the Username is "user", and you will find the password on the bottom of the modem.

You know you have gained access if you see the screen to the bottom of the page directly to the left.

From this point you will click "Security"
