The Command Link CL100 was and is an industry leading technology. The CL100 will interact with SmartPoints for water, gas, or electric. You can read 520M MXUs with it. You can perform on-demand readings. You can connect this to a handheld, a tablet or a cellphone. This is what you use to activate an MXU and a meter together. The CL100 will only Bluetooth to Android.

There is a 1 year warranty on the CL100. It has 3 rechargeable AA batteries behind the screw plate on the bottom. You can put 3 regular AA batteries in it, but if someone plugs it up with regular batteries in it, the CL100 can catch on fire or the batteries can explode.

If your utility is still using a CL100, I would advise making plans on buying a new CL200. These are around $1000 (Nov. 2025) Sensus will end repairs to the CL100 very soon, if they havn't already.
The Command Link CL200 is the newest version and it has now changed the game by being able to connect to Android and IOS. Utilities with Apple phones and iPads can now use these with them.

Supports activation, programming, diagnostics, etc. It is great for troubleshooting MXUs in the field. You can get instant access to any SmartPoint. This is what you will use to setup and bind directly to the database.
You can expect reliable performance in heat, cold and rain. Very rugged casing that will last for years. Only weighs 1 pound. Just like the CL100, the CL200 also has a 1 year warranty.
